  • April 4th-6th - Potter County Father-Son Outing  
  • Any sons planning on attending this trip MUST attend a mandatory meeting before the trip.  The cost of this trip will be $35.00 to cover all of the food expenses, entertainment, and gas.  Additionally, as this is NOT a scouting event, a separate permission slip MUST signed by a parent or legal guardian.  Anyone who does not participate in the mandatory meeting or does not have a signed Potter County permission slip will not be permitted to attend this event. Please contact Mr. Demusz if you have any questions or are unable to attend the mandatory meeting.
 
  • April 11th-13th - District Camporee

  • April 19th - VFW Road Cleanup
  • As everyone knows, the VFW is our sponsor and several times a year the troop volunteers to pick up trash and other debris along the roadside.  This is a great opportunity to get some service hours while performing a valuable community service. 
 
  • April 19th Covered Bridge Festival
  • Scouts and Scouters:I just received a call from the East Rockhill commissioner asking for additional help from our Troop.  Looks like we will need about 10 to 20 Scouts at least 6 older scouts 15+yrs old.
 
  • May 10th-11th - Canoe Trip
  • CANOE/KAYAK TRIP - MAY 10 -11, WHARTON STATE FOREST, NJ We will leave
    the church at 8 am on Saturday, travel 2 hrs to Wharton, set up camp and spend the afternoon boating on the Wading River. On Sunday we will depart from Wharton by 10:00 am and be back at the church by noon. This is a small river that winds through the scenic wooded Pine Barren region near Batsto, NJ. Most of the river is fairly shallow and there are some areas that are pretty narrow. We will have boats and lifejackets for all participants and there will be several kayaks for the older scouts to share. Cost is $30 per person. You will need to pack a lunch and a few snacks for Saturday. All other food will be provided. PLAN TO JOIN US FOR A GREAT TRIP ! This is our last trip until Summer Camp in June.
    Don't miss out - yes, its OK to miss your baseball, lacrosse, etc. game - this will be much more fun! WE WILL BE BACK IN TIME FOR YOU TO MAKE MOM'S DINNER !!
 
  • June 22nd-28th - Summer Camp at Camp Ockanickon  

  • Cost is $281.00 if paid in full by Feb 14:  $299.00 if paid after Feb 14

  • Payment schedule:  Feb 14 $100.00   March 13 $100.00  April 17 $99.00

 
  • July 17th-20th - Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania
  • This is family event and bike trip.  Families are welcome to come camp with us and also to take a scenic ride through the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.  The troop will be camping at Petticoat Junction Campground and families are welcome to camp with us or bring your 5th wheel trailer, air conditioning and satellite dish to "ruff" it out for the weekend.  For those who may not enjoy "ruffing" it, there is a bed and breakfast nearby.

  • August 2 - White Water Rafting at Jim Thorpe
  • There will be a choice of two levels of rafting to satisfy both the novice and experienced.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Jacobson.
 
  • September 19th-20th - 75th Anniversary Council Camporee at Washington Crossing
  • Cost - TBD.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Esposito
 
  • September 26th-28th - Canada Brotherhood Camporee
  • Cost - TBD.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Dodsworth
 
  • Permission slips for 2008 are due.  Permission slips are good for the calendar year, but new slips must be signed and turned before January 1st in order to go on any trips.  The slip can be downloaded from the home page.
   
 
  • It’s that time again – Please see Mr. Macur to pay your 2008 dues.  Dues for new scouts is $45, and $35 for returning scouts.  Dues MUST be paid by January 1 in order to be registered with the troop.  If meeting the dues is difficult for anyone, please talk to your Scoutmaster.  We will not let dues stand in the way of belonging to our troop.
 
  • Popcorn Sale – As you know, this is the official fundraiser from Council and National.  Any scout wishing to participate, can on an individual level.  Please see Mr. Bauer for details.
   
 
  • Troop Committee meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM on the second floor of the Forrest Lodge VFW.
